About this recipe
Chia fruits is the laziest dessert I could come up with. It’s vegan, versatile and delicious! You can use any fruit you like as long as the fruits are juicy. In summer, I love to make these with watermelon or mango. So refreshing!
You can prepare the Chia fruits for dessert or as a snack in the morning (at least 2 hours before you want to eat it) or store it in an airtight container over night in the fridge. I would eat it within 24 hours.
Chia Fruits
Ingredients
- 1 orange or fruit of your choice
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
Instructions
- Peel the orange. Cut each slice in half and make sure you catch all the fruit juice. Put the orange bits and the juice into an airtight jar or storage container.
- Add the Chia seeds and stir them in well. Squish a bit more juice out of the orange while you're at it.
- Leave covered up in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Variations
Fruits
Use any fruit you like. The juicier the better the result. I personally don’t like to mix fruits but that shouldn’t stop you. Why not try a mixed berries version in autumn? Just make sure to lightly squish half of the fruit so there’s enough juice for the chia seeds.
